Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

drupal: it makes 'smaller sites' really complex to set up; it makes 'bigger' sites easier to set up.

many web developers in ireland do smaller sites. sites for small companies & not-for-profits, where performance and scalability aren't an issue. the web developers are also one-man-shows, where they do everything, and they don't require version control or other collaboration options. but this is where drupal excels.

drupal is good if you need to make a custom CMS for your client. wordpress is good if your client just needs a blog and some pages.

drupal's themeing system, like the modules, are very basic at the core. but they are very extensible. people with a strong background in HTML & CSS and a little PHP hacking can do some great designs.
http://spectrummagazine.com/ is done in drupal and won some awards.
check out any of the larger drupal-shops, for example http://developmentseed.org/ for some inspiration.

use the right tool for the job, i suppose.

Spam isn't a drupal problem, it's what happens when you leave forms open with no filtering.

    This might help.
