Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
we live in a cul-de-sac in dublin 15 and ourselves and 3 other houses on our row of houses are plumbed to the same waste pipe. The waste pipe for all four houses is connected to the main estates waste pipe through the garden of the last house on the row. For the past 7 or 8 years we have had sporadic issues with a blocked pipe that we pay to have cleared. Last time it was cleaned dynorod sent a camera down to find that there is a fault in the pipes close to where the main waste pipe joins our exit pipe. The council are claiming that because it is not on the main pipe it is not there problem to fix, but the fault is actually not on the land of any of the houses but on a part of the pipe that is under the public foot path.
can anyone suggest what we can do to sort this issue out once and for all? we are in the Fingal area.
    Thanks

If the pipe is located on private land its private ownership, if its located on public land its public ownership. Strong worded letter to Director of Services in Fingal (CC to your local councillors) including map highlighting location of damage and CCTV of the damage should get you sorted.

If the damaged part of Pipe is under a public footpath then it's the councils responsibility to deal with it. Simply put House holders are not allow dig up public Footpaths. Point this out when you right to the Council.

Dublin City info here, they point out that the drain private is considered private right up to the point where it joins the public sewer, including the piece under the public footpath.
