Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a bad looking phone eh?

Just noticed this handset when I was browsing German Amazon, was surprised to have never came across it before, mainly because of how well priced it is. Looks to be a super alternative to anyone considering something like a HTC One V or a Galaxy Ace Plus or Ace 2 sim free. For a start, its a very nice looking phone IMO, and it has a 4.3" screen which is unheard of at that money, from anyone else but Chinese manufacturers like ZTE.

It does only have a 1GHz chip, but its a similar enough snapdragon to the one in the One V. Other than that though, it matches or beats the One V in all area's as far as I can see. the screen is 4.3" IPS LCD(480x800) so should of decent quality, also has gorilla glass apparently. The battery is 1,700mAh(Remember the S2 has a 1,650mAh) so should be well up to the task, and the phone is only 8.7mm thick(An S2 is 8.5mm thick). Its also running Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, so its surely the cheapest ICS phone currently on the go. It has HDMI as well. Camera is 5MP with flash

Mainly though, its down to the price, on German amazon its 252€ for the black version, so thats landed here for about €260. the white one is €10 more. That makes it a nice bit cheaper than the One V which would be about €280 landed here, or the Ace 2 (about €290 landed). For a phone with that screen, and looks like an S2 IMO, for that price, definitely needs considering IMO.

Any opinions on this, or anything I'm missing here? I know many around here are only used to phones like the ONE X but any opinions on this BEARING IN MIND the price :)

I'm strongly considering this as a replacement for my (at this stage) battered and bruised Galaxy S. I'm a bit short on cash so the S3 is a pipe dream, but this is well under half the price, comes with a bigger screen than my Galaxy S and is already running ICS. At this price, the competition is one of the phones I've already mentioned, or a used S2 which would be in the €250 to €300 price range.
