Anyone bother seeing this at the IFC lately? I thought it was pretty good but not the classic piece of cinema I was expecting. Visually it's still stunning (the opening scene with the shift-change is pretty cool) but the storyline is pretty weak and film just degrades down into a big messy lump by the time 'Maria2' gets…

Still, worth a look before it leaves the IFC.

Saw it a few years back (not when it first came out lol), it was good but like you say it would have been better without all the hype.
