Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So fake it's unbelievable how anyone could think it's genuine.
See how there are so many different opinions on the accent.

The worst acting ever. ****ing terrible. Fake as it gets.

I think it's genuine but it seems quite a few believe it to be fake

I know if I asked my dad to make a fake video like that for me he'd tell me to go away :)

    "ZOMG ITS FAKE!!"

Jesus, maybe I'm too long out of Ireland but what's the craic with the swearing?? Is it a rural-Ireland-parents thing??

Rural Ireland thing? Ever lived in Dublin?

The swearing is an Irish thing. I was once told by my former colleagues in London, that when I swore (Fúck word occasionally) or Irish friends swore, they said there was almost a natural poetic, musical quality to it. They were a diverse, multinational group and I thought it was pretty interesting to hear that. But they also said that when the English swore, they felt it was aggressive and intimidating. And some of my English colleagues readily admitted that themselves.

He smiles because he realises his son is fúcking with him and actually passed. Seems genuine to me, the young lad seems like he's acting, thats because he is.

I think people think Its a fake because they cant believe the reaction!
This sort of thing cant be faked, this is so close to my aul fellas reactions and mannerisms I couldn't believe it. It was actually heart warming to see it!
"Im a fooking long time waitin'!", that's just typical, "Head stuck in the computer"!
And as for people saying that Its bad parenting, this guy has a rapport with his Dad that is probably the envy of many children who just sit there with their parents and say nice nice things but know deep down that they're disappointed!

Thats a fairly typical North Leitrim /North Rossie to West Cavan accent..good Honest Baines on thoaassst folks!

Arigna/Drumshanbo/Drumkeeran/Dowra /Gleann/Bawnboy/Ballyconnell all speak with variants of that twang!!

Dont think this is fake but even if it is So What!!
its nice to a Father and son having banter.

He said he'd take it in two weeks, have waiting times dropped that much? I remember waiting 3 months about 4/5 years ago.

I live around Laois/Offley, definitely not an accent from here.

I'd say more of a Sminkey Shorts accent :pac:

FFS! Will you all quit all the speculation about his accent - it has already been definitively established by people who personally know the man exactly where he's from!
