Mac Audio Editor Q

Hi, can anybody recomend a good audio editor for OSX? I've been using Peak 4 and Audacity for a while, but I find them both slow and arkward. Something along the lines of Soundforge would be great. Thanks.

Wave Editor requires Tiger to run so an OS upgrade will be required for some of us. It is also $250 a pop.

Audacity is free to all to users and will run on boht OSX and Classic.

thanks. i've used audacity, but like i said, i find it slow and arkward.
