Ronnie has spouted some garbage over the past five years about Liverpool. I have respect for him as an Ireland/Liverpool player but the respect ends there. I have listened intently to him commenting on Liverpool for the past several years and he comes across as a really bitter person and to me its about how his Liverpool career ended and he likes to stick the knife in when he can.

To be fair Hillsborough is part of Liverpool's history as tragic as it is.

It's brought up in every interview! It's in the past, you can see the man wasn't that happy talking about, why make him relive it again on T.V. by talking about it?

*Edit* that's an overstatement, people have moved on from it at this stage. It's interviewing by numbers! Same as CGJ last week. Tubirdy should be smacked alot more often!

    It certainly is,

but on a Friday Night I'd rather hear a few funny anecdotes about Ronnies career with Liverpool and Ireland.

He was on the verge of tears talking about it, there was no reason to bring it up.

Because the Irish Rubgy team has players from Northern Ireland. Would ya rather they do a medley of the soldiers song and God save the queen?

This is the gayest song (err not being racialistic). How can we possibly rouse fire in the bellies of our teams with this dirge.

There is an isle is the song we need

I can't stand when you can see the players get visually pumped during Amrhan na bhfiann only to be brought down to earth again with a dour rendition of this tripe...

Ugh, I don't mind the song but WTF is this? Who's Paul Byron or whatever his name is, this is shiiiite! I didn't think anyone could upstage Brian Kennedy in the crapness stakes!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

I was wondering why Paul was singing with Brian but then I remembered that he is going out with Phil Coulter's daughter.

Wear the green of Ireland, stand with respect for the flag of Ireland and play Amhran na bFiann. Sh1t or get off the pot

He was there to promote his book so presumably they wanted to talk about the contents of his book.

It has all the character and atmosphere of a Pat Kenny theme tune.
