I need to send my brother a house moving present so I'm looking for an online store.

Anything other than drinkstore.ie that I can check?

Not sure how much shipping would run at from Germany, but have seen people recommend this site before:

Even with postage (€15) that comes in much cheaper than the local sites.
I wonder though will there be some form of import duty applied to it?

Not within the EU, provided it's for personal consumption. Common market, like.

1.19Euro per bottle. Minimum order for this particular beer is 2 bottles. Delivery is 15 Euro or 10 Euro for orders over 150Euro.

Wrong.

The above applies to alcohol personally imported (ie. you are accompanying the alcohol ). Anything imported any other way is liable for duty and VAT.

Yup. And it's the shop's job to sort it out with Irish Revenue. If they don't, and the parcel is stopped, you still get landed with the bill.

I see ... no way around excise so. Not that I want around excise, I just would love this beer at reasonable cost (Irish reasonable, not €1.20 in your local Späti.

And that bill would no doubt be substantial.
