I was given a laptop recently. An inspiron 1150, celeron 2.4, 512mb ram, works fine and I got it for free so can't complain, however the batter life is really auful! When fully charged, say left charing for hours, when I unplug the power, the battery meter will say about 65% and will only have about 20 minutes left! Roughly how long should I be getting?

Am I right in saying the battery is simply nackered? Is there anything I can do, or shall I just get a new one? I can get one here for about €50.
    Thanks

By the sounds of it the battery is knackered. All you can do is buy a new one. I'm not sure what that battery is like but I remember people selling dodgy dell power supplies on ebay not too long ago so you should make sure the person has a good reputation.
