Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying a laptop: the best deal is...?

Has anybody spotted a good deal with a laptop?

I was looking at the Sony Vaio in Tesco for €600, but the girl behind the counter wasn't too clear about the available IT support. I'm willing to spend around €600, and would ideally like Blu-Ray in it for that.

What laptop would you recommend for that price? By the way, I bought the Dell Inspiron 1525 last year for €795 but the fan was incredibly noisy and intrusive (I'm used to quietness), so I will avoid that model because of that.

    Thanks.

Thanks, Mukki. I never heard of Levino, and Toshiba must have improved in recent years. Why do you think the Sony Vaio so bad?

It's Lenovo. And they were once IBM, their notebooks are now under the name lenovo. They're considered one of the best Laptops as for as construction and reliability. You may pay a i little more for this, however i've seen them drop in price significantly recently.
