Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Basically, i'm looking for the best place to get one of my watches adjusted. I have a pretty small wrist and i need to get some links taken out of it. Since it should be simple enough, i dont want to break the bank. I'm also a student and dont have much money until my next payday. So if anyone has any suggestions of where to get this done for a decent price. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

There's a watch and jewellery repair shop on Abbeygate St beside the Health+ store, think it's called O'Connell's... Not sure on prices for watches as he removed links on my watch for free when I got my engagement ring resized but his prices are very reasonable overall so doubt he'll charge you too much. Hope that helps :)

If you are feeling up to it you could get a cheap kit off eBay

Hartmanns on shop street are usually very good as reasonably priced.

This guy is good and very reasonable. He will be cheaper than most jewellers. He's Ray O'Connell. His place is the Watch and Jewellery Repair Centre, which is on the first floor of Century Buildings above Swiftprint. Small entrance door with a small sign.

Have to say I was not one bit happy with this guy. I brought something small to him to be soldered and he charged me €20. He was only a few mins soldering it and hadn't added in any extra metal for the price. I was shocked at the price and then furthermore it broke at the soldered place a few days later and I brought it to a different jewellers and they soldered it for €5! And it hasn't broken since and is good as new. I wouldn't mind but I had been a customer of Ray's for a few years bringing in things every so often. This took the biscuit though and I haven't gone there since nor will I ever again.

I have used Fallers for watch repairs recently and although pricey the watch is perfect. I have also used Hartmanns of late and have been happy.

OP I think Quinns on Dominick St. is closed down now.
