Mazda 5 air con compressor

Nearly 2 years ago the air con on my Mazda 5 stopped working. I brought it to my mechanic who used an air con specialist who diagnosed the compressor as in need of replacement. Price for that was about £600 so I left it alone.

Recently I had the car in the garage to fix something and I mentioned the air con. He said that the issue is not the fitting but the price of the part. He checked and a new one comes in at £429+ vat.

He did mention that I should be able to pick up a second hand one though for about £50. He suggested using ebay and looking up Mazda 5 breaking. He's not interested in sourcing the part as he's very busy but he will fit it and gas it for £75.

I've had a look on ebay and I can see a couple of ads mentioning a mazda 5 such as this one. I don't see the individual part listed so I'm going to give them a call.

I'll need the part no. I think when I call them though and I'm not sure of the best way to find that out? Google did lead me to this website though which looks like it's the correct part (I have a 2006 Mazda 5, 2.0 Sport Petrol). Is that the correct part no. (CC2961450CG / CC2961K00) or is there somewhere else I can find this out?

I'm also wondering if I might be better off just buying the part from that website but I'm wondering how come they can offer such a low price for a brand new part?

Any thoughts/guidance/advice would be greatly appreciated.
