Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Anyone got any advice on ducted air central heating or any other heating systems for a new build near west coast approx 200m2.
Also would the sea air affect an air source heat pump.
    Any replies much appreciated

Sea air will corrode air source units, how quickly it happens will depend on the quality of the unit but a good one will cost almost as much as a Ground source heat pump so you'd be best going with that.

Ufh is best suited to heat pumps due to its storage capacity, you'll also getting better performance costs wise.
Forced air will heat a room quicker but also cool quicker so the heat pump will cycle a lot more frequently. You may also get issues with dry eyes, dust movement and other problems associated with moving air.
UFH is generally a nicer atmosphere when installed correctly. Coupled with a good GSHP it pretty much unbeatable for comfort and costs.
