Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Leaking glycol from solar panels

    I have solar panels for the last 6 years. Yesterday, I noticed the hot water was pink in the sink and in the bath. It seems to me that the glycol is leaking from the solar panels. The pressure has not dropped. Any ideas and what can I do?.

    sounds like you have a pin hole leak in the coil of your hot water cylinder which is allowing the fluid from the solar circuit to leak into the cylinder.

    Afraid not, are you on a well or water mains, stainless steel cylinders on well water supply invalidates the warranty

    It's an enamel coated tank. Why does well water invalidate the warranty? Tia

    Stainless steel cylinders are not suitable for installations on well water supplies, it causes them to leak. They have to be either copper if on a well, or have an anode fitted which has to be replaced every year

    Usually using a pump station to fill and pressurise the system.

    Your plumber may have one.
