Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi

i have a laptop that is 5 years old....I have a regulated control option where I can set the fan to switch on when it reaches a certain temperature i.e (50 degrees celcius) to slow fan speed. If it reaches 55 degrees celcius or over the hi speed fan switches on. I notice there lately that the fan seems to switching on this high speed option more frequently than before.. What is the cause of this? Is proceessor failing or what?

    Thanks.

Have you checked your heatsink for dust buildup? If it's significant this is most likely your problem. A can of compressed air or better still a vac should remove it!

    cheers.

I did that and that seems to have solved the problem.
