    WWE RAW Opener:

At the start of RAW, Lilian Garcia asked the crowd to welcome the new World Heavyweight Champion... Randy Orton! With that, Evolution's music hit in the arena and Randy Orton made his way out to the ring as the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment! A shot of the Toronto Sun was shown and Randy Orton made the front page of the paper in Toronto as the new World Champion. As Randy Orton stood in the ring, confetti and balloons fell from the ceiling as Orton held his arm in the air, a proud World Champion.

Randy Orton took the microphone and he said that the fans are cheering his name now but last night, it was a different story, they all thought that he was in over his head. They all thought that he hadn't earned his stripes yet. They all thought that there was no way in hell that Randy Orton could defeat Chris Benoit, let alone survive the Crossface, the Sharpshooter and six gut wrenching German Suplexes but yet he is here standing before you as the youngest WWE Heavyweight Champion in history! Now Randy wants everyone to do him a little favor. He wants all the 24 year old males to stand up, raise their hands and let themselves be seen. Come on, they are on national television, stand up and put a camera on these people. Randy then said to take a good look because this is what the average 24 year old male looks like. But he'll do us one better, stand up again... all the 24 year olds take off your shirts. Just the men, the women can catch up with him because there's time for that later. 24 year olds stand up and take off their shirts. The 24 year olds in the crowd did just that and Randy said to look at that. That is disturbing. The crowd chanted "you suck, you suck!" at Randy Orton and Randy said that is very disturbing. That is the average shape of the 24 year old male. And it's not just a Canadian thing; most 24 year old men are in that kind of shape the world over. It's sad but true. Which makes what Randy has accomplished even that much more impressive. Because not only is he better looking but he is just plain better. And a lot of you think that him winning was a fluke last night, well ladies and gentlemen, it was not a fluke, it was destiny.

A video package was shown for Randy Orton, displaying his accomplishments in World Wrestling Entertainment and he's been an Intercontinental Champion and he's prided himself on being a legend killer, taking out the likes of Sgt. Slaughter, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and others. After the package, Randy said that he did what nobody else could do. He beat Chris Benoit, one, two, three. Now sure, he's a little banged up and it's taken all his strength to come out here and stand before you people but that is the kind of Champion that he is. Now sure, there have been many Champions before him. Now that's just fine, but he is unlike all the others, he's Randy Orton. Randy said that he is just unlike all the others, he is Randy Orton! So get used to this sight and get used to who stands before you, get used to the 3000 dollar suits, the beautiful smile, the beautiful face because the Randy Orton era has only just begun. Randy Orton then held his World Heavyweight Championship high in the air and Chris Benoit's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the former World Heavyweight Champion, having lost the Championship to Randy Orton just last night at Summer Slam.

Chris Benoit got in the ring and he took the mic and the crowd chanted "Benoit, Benoit!" as he stood in the ring. Chris said before Randy's journey of the Randy Orton Era begins, Chris just wants to let him know that his first title defense is going to be against Chris Benoit. Randy said that he heard about his rematch clause and that's fine. Give Randy two or three weeks to heal up, he challenges Randy Orton and faces him again and he'll beat him again. Chris said that Randy just does not get it. Chris just came from Bischoff's office and yes, he does have a rematch clause but he's not going to wait three weeks, two weeks, one week or even another day. Chris Benoit said that tonight, in this ring it's going to be Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Title! With that, Chris Benoit put the mic down and left the ring and Randy Orton had a reluctant look on his face as it's obvious that he does not want to face Chris Benoit in a rematch for the World Heavyweight Title here tonight on RAW.

    Sylvan Grenier vs. Rhyno

The following is an all or nothing match with the stipulation being that if Rhyno wins, then Rhyno and Tajiri will receive a World Tag Team Championship match at Unforgiven. However, if Sylvan Grenier wins, then Rhyno and Tajiri will never be in contention for the World Tag Team Titles. With that, Rhyno and Tajiri stormed to the ring and this is a one on one match with Rhyno against Sylvan Grenier and this is a must win situation for Rhyno. Rob Conway accompanied his partner Sylvan Grenier out to the ring.

    The start:

Rhyno and Sylvan Grenier locked it up in the center of the ring and Rhyno went behind Sylvan and rolled him up with a schoolboy pin for a one count. Rhyno then tripped Sylvan up and then he pinned Sylvan for another one count. Sylvan backed off and then kicked Rhyno in the gut and then dumped him through the ropes to the arena floor. Tajiri helped Rhyno get back in the ring and then Rob Conway nailed Tajiri with the flag and then he planted him with a DDT on the outside of the ring.

    Mid-match notes:

Rob Conway gave Rhyno a cheap shot from the outside of the ring and then Sylvan Grenier covered him but only got a two count. Sylvan then whipped Rhyno off the ropes and gave him a one man flap jack and then he pinned him for another two count.

Sylvan Grenier whipped Rhyno hard into the corner and Rhyno fell right down to the mat and Sylvan covered Rhyno for another two count. Sylvan then whipped Rhyno off the ropes and went for a back body drop but Rhyno kicked Sylvan in the chest and then Sylvan responded with a clothesline to send Rhyno down to the mat.

Sylvan went for a clothesline but Rhyno ducked it and clutched Sylvan Grenier and gave him a belly to belly suplex and then a pin for a two count. Rhyno then went off the ropes and knocked Sylvan down with a shoulder block and Sylvan got up only to get knocked back down with a clothesline. The crowd called for the Gore and Sylvan whipped Rhyno off the ropes and Rhyno came back with a jumping clothesline to knock Sylvan down to the mat.

Rob Conway hopped up to the ring apron and tried to distract the referee and Rhyno gave him a right hand to knock him down. Sylvan then grabbed Rhyno and gave him a big time back suplex and then a pin for another two count.

    The finish:

Rob Conway once again distracted the referee and Sylvan went to use the Canadian Flag but Tajiri spit the green mist into the face of Sylvan Grenier and then Rhyno hit Sylvan with the Gore and then the pin for the three count to get the win and as a result of this victory, Rhyno and Tajiri will meet La Resistance for the World Tag Team Titles at Unforgiven!

    Winner - Rhyno

Lita started to leave but Coach asked her what is going through her mind right now? Lita said that she just wants to be left alone and then she went into the women's locker room where the WWE Divas were there with a surprise for Lita, saying congratulations to Lita and Kane. Trish said that they wanted to turn her frown upside down, so they decided to throw her a bridal shower. Molly said that since Lita likes to sleep around so much, here's something that she could really use. First, there is birth control pills and let's not forget the condoms! The WWE Divas then sang "Trojan Man, Trojan Man" and then Gail Kim gave Lita a picture of her and Kane's first kiss. They are obviously in love. They don't have to worry about the baby because here's what it'll look like. Gail held up a picture of a deformed baby. Trish said that they saved the best for last and Jazz brought out a vibrator for those long cold nights when Kane is out of town. Trish said that Lita can thank them now. Lita just looked at the Divas with a look of anger and Trish followed her out of the room, saying that they tried real hard, besides she forgot her condoms. Trish wished Lita good luck next week and Victoria showed up and Trish said great job on Diva Dodgeball. Who was her coach? Stevie Wonder? Victoria responded with a hard slap to Trish as the show went to a commercial break.

Gail Kim got up on Victoria's head and shoulders and Gail wrapped her legs around Victoria's head and wrenched away on her arms in an attempt to get her to tap out and Victoria fell down to the mat and worked her way out of the submission and then pinned Gail but couldn't get the three count.

The crowd heavily chanted "you screwed Bret, you screwed Bret" at Earl Hebner.

    The finish:

Victoria grabbed Gail Kim and perched her on her back and then gave her the Widow's Peak and then the pin for the three count to get the win.

    Winner - Victoria

    The Aftermath:

Trish Stratus came out to the ring and swung at Victoria but Victoria hammered away on Trish Stratus until Tyson Tomko made his way out to the ring and grabbed Victoria from behind. As Tyson held onto Victoria, Trish laid into Victoria with a straight right hand to send her down to the mat. Trish then signaled for Tyson to pick Victoria up and he did just that, lifting Victoria up over his head and then a strange woman came out to the ring and gave Tyson a chop block to knock him down. The crowd chanted "Stevie, Stevie!" and the 'woman' went over to Victoria and you could hear a member of the audience yell 'Steven Richards!!' The 'woman' then turned and walked away as Victoria looked intimidated.

    Kane vs. Edge (c)

Kane's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for this one on one match against Edge and the Intercontinental Title is on the line in this match. Next week, Kane will be getting married to Lita after Lita agreed to the stipulations in Kane's match against Matt Hardy at Summer Slam and unfortunately for Lita, she is being FORCED to marry the father of her child. Kane took the mic and he said that he dedicates this match to his bride to be, Lita.

    The start:

Kane and Edge locked it up in the center of the ring and Edge pushed Kane back a bit but Kane over powered Edge by shoving Edge right down to the mat. Kane and Edge locked it up once again and Edge twisted away on the arm of Kane and then he put Kane in a top wrist lock but Kane once again over powered Edge by shoving him down to the mat.

    Mid-match notes:

Edge pulled Kane's legs against the steel ring post and Edge put Kane in a standing figure four leg lock on the ring post and then eventually released the hold. Edge then climbed up to the top rope and Kane shoved him down to the outside of the ring into the security wall.

As the match was going on, Lita walked out to the ring and Kane had a huge smile on his face as the show went to a commercial break.

Kane went for a power slam on Edge but Edge slid out of it and planted Kane with the Edge-o-Matic and then he pinned Kane but only got a two count as Lita looked on from the outside of the ring.

Edge knocked Kane to the ring apron and Kane stood up on the ring apron and then Edge speared Kane in the back to send him flying into the security wall. Edge then got out of the ring and pounded on Kane and then rolled him back into the ring. Edge headed to the top rope and came off with a missile drop kick to send Kane down to the mat. Edge then covered Kane but only got a two count.

Kane went to the top rope and Edge got up and hit Kane to slow him down. Edge hammered away on Kane and went for a super plex but Kane blocked it and shoved Edge down into the referee to send the referee down to the mat. Kane then stood on the top rope and waited for Edge to get up and then he jumped off with a clothesline to send Edge down to the mat. Kane then signaled for the choke slam but Lita grabbed Kane by the leg and stopped him. Kane said something to Lita and then he turned around and nailed Edge with a big boot to send him down to the mat.

    The finish:

Kane set up for the choke slam on Edge but Matt Hardy hit the ring and gave Kane the Twist of Fate and Lita had a huge smile on her face and then Edge speared Kane down to the mat and pinned him for the three count to retain the Intercontinental Championship!

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion, Edge

    The Aftermath:

Edge grabbed the Intercontinental Championship and left the ring and Kane sat right up and he locked his eyes on Lita and Lita remained on the outside of the ring, showing no fear. Kane got out of the ring and grabbed a mic and forced Lita into the ring. Kane held onto Lita and he said that Lita would probably think that he'd be angry at what just happened. But he's not. Kane laughed and said that he can see what kind of relationship this is going to be and he is going to enjoy it. And nothing can upset Kane tonight because next week right here, live on RAW, they are getting married! And later that night, they'll consummate their marriage. Lita responded with a hard slap to the face of Kane and Kane said oh yeah, that's the way he likes it. It's going to be a hell of a honeymoon!

    WWE RAW Diva Search:

The Coach was shown with the RAW Diva Search Girls and we are about to find out who will be voted off tonight. Will it be Joy, Amy, Carmella, Maria, Tracie, Christy or Michelle? Before we get to that, they asked each Diva if they could vote off a fellow contestant, who would they vote off and why?

Michelle: Carmella for the simple reason that she is extremely busy and she is just in it to win another contract and not make it a career with the WWE.
Christy: Carmella, only because she doesn't want it and all the rest of the girls do.
Maria: Carmella, just because she doesn't seem to put as much effort into each thing. She kind of reminds everyone of a dish rag and how she acts and everything. She doesn't have the enthusiasm.
Tracie: Carmella, because she does not feel as excited and wants this as much as every one of the Divas. I really want this and I have all the time and strategy to do it, I only wish she did too.
Carmella: Joy. I hate this because I don't want to say anything negative but just because she is married and has babies and it would be really hard to find the time to do this for a full commitment.
Amy: Carmella, because she doesn't really want to be here. She's made fun of the wrestlers, laughed at all the tests to prove themselves to the audience.
Joy: Carmella, because she hasn't been a team player. We love having her around and she's a beautiful asset to the team but she wasn't there for Diva Dodgeball and we had to do it without her.

Now that we know who the contestants want off, let's find out who the audience did vote off. And the diva going home tonight is Michelle. Stay tuned, much more from the Divas live later on tonight.

    Backstage:

Batista then planted Chris Jericho with a spinebuster and then Edge's music hit in the arena and he stormed to the ring to make the save. Flair and Batista stopped Edge from getting in the ring and Edge ran around the ring and tried to get in the ring but was unable to due to Batista and Flair blocking him. Chris Jericho took a look at Edge trying to help him and Edge decided against it and turned back and left. Batista then nailed Chris Jericho and then picked him up and gave him a big time sit down power bomb as Edge looked at Chris Jericho like he was pathetic.

    WWE RAW Diva Search:

The Coach was shown in the arena and he said that it's now time to vote for your favorite Diva and he brought out the Divas in their bikinis! We'll be down to five Divas next week in Anaheim.

    Next week on RAW:

Who will be the World Heavyweight Champion by next week? Randy Orton or Chris Benoit after tonight's match? The biggest thing next week on RAW is the Wedding with Kane and Lita!

    Backstage:

Randy Orton was shown in the backstage area and Triple H showed up and asked Randy if he saw that? Batista killed Jericho. That was awesome. Triple H asked Randy if he's all right? Triple H then said he knows what Randy is feeling. Last night was the biggest night of his life, he became the World Heavyweight Champion and Chris Benoit is breathing down his neck and he feels it's going to slip through his fingers. It's natural. But does he understand what being the World Heavyweight Champion means? Last night, he became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history. Does he understand what that means? Ric Flair didn't win his first World Title until he was 31 or something. Guys like Dave Batista would give their arm to get a shot at that Championship and last night, Randy Orton did what nobody could do. He beat Chris Benoit in the middle of that ring. You want to know how you deal with tonight? You go out there and you be Randy Orton. You be the guy that got you where you are. You rely on that talent and ability and what brought you to the dance. And you know what brought you to the dance? Evolution. So you go out there tonight and be Randy Orton. Put out all that talent and ability and let Evolution take care of the rest. Triple H told Randy that there is no problem because Evolution is his solution. Go out there tonight and make history by beating Benoit for the second night in a row. And when it's over, Evolution is going to be in the ring with him and they are going to celebrate like only Evolution can.

    Unforgiven Theme Song:

"Survival of the Sickest" by Saliva is the official theme song for Unforgiven and that CD is available tomorrow!

Chris Benoit then lifted Randy Orton up and gave him a knee breaker into the steel steps and that left Randy Orton squirming around on the arena floor in pain as the show cut to a commercial break.

Coming off the commercial break, Chris Benoit had Randy Orton in the sharpshooter and Randy looked close to tapping out but Randy struggled to get to the ropes and was finally able to grab the ropes to break the hold. Chris then lifted Randy up off the mat and knocked him right back down with a forearm to the head.

    The Aftermath:

Ric Flair and Triple H got in the ring and hugged Randy Orton as Batista grabbed Chris Benoit on the outside of the ring and slammed him into the steel steps. Batista got in the ring as well and he hoisted Randy Orton up on his shoulders and held him high in the air as Ric Flair and Triple H celebrated Randy Orton's title victory. Triple H gave Randy Orton the thumbs up and he smiled and then he wiped the smile off his face and gave him the thumbs down and Batista dropped back to slam Randy Orton down to the mat and then Triple H hammered away on Randy Orton with a number of right hands and then Flair gave Orton some right hands followed by some blows by Batista.
