Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

okay. i have an ex esb Iveco 4x4 that had an elaborate hydraulic system on the back. by mistake i cut through the rear brake lines, thinking they were for the winch that used to be there.

it wasnt that much of a cock up really, because they were in bad shape, very corroded.

so. from reading online, it seems that it'll cost me about 120 to get three new lines made. 1 is long, about 6 foot, and two about 3 foot each.

my question is, why pay a motor factors 120, when i can buy 25 foot of brake line in halfords for 16 euros, buy a sealey flaring kit for roundabouts 30-40 euros, and a bending tool for, let me check....

okay well this seems too good to be true...

I am looking for constructive criticism here, I'd like to know if or why its a bad idea, please.
To me, and sorry if this is insulting anyone, it looks like a monkey could actually be shown how to do it, literally

I realise brakes are safety critical and that's why I'm asking.

    regards,
    redd

Those cheap tools make dodgy flares unless you're well practised.
