How long on average does it take for custom design?

I have a really good artist designing my colour sleeve at the moment, i was just wondering what is the average design time of a custom sleeve 1,3 5 weeks? I know this is a ridicoulously vague question, i just dont want piss my artist off by ringing him asking seeming like im impatient.

It won't take anywhere near that long if the artist sits down and does it, but that depends on how busy he or she is.

So, there's no way to know this or answer it.

Yeah, bit of a futile question, that nobody has any way of answering for you.
