Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there's anywhere in Ireland where typewriter ribbons and/or key's are sold?. One key is missing, well the key is there but the button is not. Could also do with a new ribbon. There's nostalgia value to a typewriter but also it's automatically printed, no need to link laptop and printer :) If there is a better forum, feel free to move, thanks :)

Keys would be specific to the model or manufacturer and your best bet would be eBay.

If the typewriter is old enough to use pure ink ribbons, any office supply shop will have ribbons for calculators which you can de-spool and force-fit but may be a little narrow. If it has to use polymer ribbons, e.g. its newer than maybe the mid 70s, you'll need a specific cartridge or spool and again, eBay it is.

Hi thanks MYOB, there's a plentiful supply of ribbons on ebay, just checked, but no sign of any buttons :( It still works of course, without the button, as the key is present, but it would be a lot better if I had it, thanks
