Compare 2 laptops for me.

    Guys im looking to get a basic cheap laptop from dell. I have narrowed it down to:
    1) Inspiron 6400
    Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core T2080 Processor (1.73GHz,533MHz,1MB L2 cache)
    Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic - English
    1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x512]
    80GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive

    2) Vostro 1000
    AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TK53
    Genuine Windows Vista® Business - English
    1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x512]
    120GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive

    What would you reccomend? Not much difference in prices.

    The vostro.

    the x2 beats the pentium dual core.
    120 v 80gig hdd.
    you don't want vista home basic, might as well stick on xp.

    why not the home basic? the vostro has vista business anyway?

    I'd go with the vostro as well. What price are they?

    im getting them through the business section on dell via my job.
    409 for the vostro.
    379 for the inspiron.
    thats without delivery

    Based on kaimera's advice and some seaching about x2 technology i went for the vostro
