WHY everyone launch "new " around Microsoft's date !??

Hi, Just reading few news and they mentioned that the product(s) are to be launched before or same day as Microsoft release Windows 8 and some tablets/phones as well ! Why do others have to launch before or same day !? Doesn't make sense,as they can be overshadowed by Microsoft or ...do they really hopes to get attention…

That's business for you. Spoiling tactics. Personally, I don't think the MS tablets or phones will be of much interest to the general public compared to something like the rumoured iPad Mini so I doubt they will overshadow anyone. Who knows though?
