Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ultegra 6800 crank compatible with 6700 BB

    Running on a 6700BB and considering upgrading to 6800 crankset. Are they compatible with each other anyone know?

    Yes works fine, I have been running one for the last few months. No problem at all both 24mm.

    It's the inside diameter of the bottom bracket. 24mm is Shimano standard for hollowtech bb's but it is also used by some other companies. There are some other designs out there eg BB30, megaexo and GXP.

    Slight change of topic here but will a Dura Ace 7900 53/39 chainset work with Ultegra 6700 shifters?

    Yes, it will work.
    I can't think of any modern Shimano parts that are not interchangeable.

    OP, all Hollowtech cranksets have the same dimensions. You can run a Dura Ace crankset in any Hollowtech BB. Same applies for Ultegra, 105, Sora etc.

    it was the shifters and the chainring that I was wondering about more so that the BB. granted they are 10 speed.
