Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AIB: Fixed term ending, possible to revert to tracker at reasonable rate?

I took out a tracker mortgage with AIB in 2006. In 2007, I switched to a 7-year fixed rate. That term comes to an end next month.

AIB have written offering a range of options, including a tracker. However, the tracker rate they're offering is ECB+4.91%, which is way higher than the original tracker rate.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation, and managed to get the original rate reinstated? Is it worth pursuing this with the help of a solicitor?

Check your loan offer and see what the margin over ECB rate was. I think they have to honour this.
