About The Game

Typoman is a two dimensional puzzle platformer distinguished by a unique game world. You slip into the role of the HERO struggling to make your way through a dark, surreal world. Headup Games has announced Brainseed Factory's elegantly crafted platform game, Typoman, will be released on the Wii U eShop in both Europe and North America on 19th November.

The Wii U exclusive will be priced at € 13.99 (USD 13.99, GBP 9.99), with individuals who participated in the E3 Nindies@Home program in June eligible to receive a 15% discount on the full version of the game when it is made available on the Wii U eShop.

In celebration of the title's launch date announcement, the soundtrack album has been released today. The composers and sound designers at SoundPicnic who are responsible for the music and sound in Typoman have attempted to capture both despair and hope in their soundtrack.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the demo! The idea and execution seemed to combine perfectly.

The demo was far too short, but it did its job and made me want more. I'm in.
Any word on how long it takes to complete? Has the limbo feel but wonder if it's as short

I agree, the demo was great but way too short. No idea how long it is. It's out next week and there's no reviews yet. That does give me a little pause for concern.

That's pretty normal for most indies really. And a short timeframe between announcement and release is common as well. So now the release date has been announced, I'd say they'll start sending review codes, if they can.

The game is 720MB in size, not that you can tell much from the number.

But it does show that there are review copies out there.

No it's gone. It was part of that Nindies@Home promotion back in the summer where there were 9 demos to download and also entitled you to a 15% discount on release.

dang, i deleted all of them to make space for the project zero demo

hopefully they will have another demo on launch day.

Second review for this game. It's another 7/10.

Conclusion

Typoman fashions a marvelous world full of wordy wonder, and those who feel it would be up their alley should definitely give the game a try based on that alone. However, the smudges that can come in the platforming, combined with the roller coaster difficulty, may very likely frustrate some when they find themselves caught in a death loop. The shorter length of the game is also a factor to consider, but the thought of a sequel with an expanded vocabulary and tweaked platforming makes us want to look up "enticing" in the thesaurus.
