Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've just been poking around in an RG470's control cavity for the past half hour and I have to say, those Japs sure know how to wire properly.

    Anyone think otherwise?

Yeah, Im real happy with the build quality/wiring on mine.

The cavity on my SR3006 is the neatest (and most complicated) I've ever seen. The general standard of workmanship is exceptionally high on Japanese instruments in my experience. I eagerly await a gander in the cavity of the 2020 :D

Funnily enough I'm going to be opening up a RG-550 myself today to install new pickups.

Would a control cavity gallery be way too sad? ;)

YAY, I get to drill a hole in the Ibanez some time this week.

You can see my handy work at Bulls on Parade in the Temple Bar Music Center on the 19th :D

Excellent. No doubt, as part of the noble "Death To 'Tribute' Bands Campaign" you're planting some sort of high explosive triggered by excessive use of a Whammy pedal? Sweet :D

Well, I was just installing a kill switch in the horn of Leeway's lead guitarist's RG but now that you mention it...

"Once the whammy pedal goes over 1000000hz, the building will explode. Hahaha, and so on."

It looked pretty normal to me when wiring up the pickups. In fact, the back of the pots are small, so it's annoying having to crowd a few wires onto it.

I thought it was neatly done. And you don't often see sheilded wires in a guitar of that price.

You mention Harley Benton but not BC Rich!? Replace the former with the latter, and I think you've got a hit!
