Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Flash sale on Inov-8 on Sport Pursuit.

Caveat I've ordered with these before, check the end date of sale and then allow 7-10 days, delivery was £5.

Just an FYI I picked up an FR60 on Handtec for £20 (no HRM) , it's not GPS, but works off the footpod and HRM.
Cheap daytime watch with HR functionality nonetheless, with 1yr battery life.

Did you get it? I take it, it doesn't actually come with a footpod or ANT+ USB stick? Still a bargain for anyone who may have these accessories lying around.

    Hi BeepBeep67

I'm new to running and looking to get a watch. All I want is a watch that tells me the distance I have travelled and the overall time. If it included splits per K or mile that would also be great. Would this watch alone achieve this? Or would I need to buy some add ons? Never had a garmin and unsure of some of the lingo.

You'd need the footpod to get a feel for distance, but at £40, you'd be better getting a watch that has GPS built in.
For £17 more you could get the Forerunner 10, review here or Timex dumping some stock here

I presume this is for entrants only ? Is it not illegal to wear gear from a race you didn't run ?

    'Illegal'? I doubt it!
    Unethical? Hardly!
    Cheap? Yes!

It doesn't seem to have a year on it, so it's just 'gear'. It's not 'congratulations on finishing the Connemarathon' type gear!

sorry, I neglected to add a smiley or a sarcastic thingy at the end. Obviously that wasn't a serious question

I ordered a hoodie and a Jacket anyway. I believe that the Connemarathon gear is made by Ron Hill (which is good quality gear). Hopefully this is the same.

Now, now. There are very clear rules for that kind of thing.

I'd love to see unbreakable, but I can't justify spending 30 bucks for a download. Jornet's download was less than a tenner.

Thanks for this - picked up a pair in Dundrum for €63 earlier. Got the last pair of size 9's. JD Sports also have the following on sale in the mens range:
    Saucony Omni 12 for €63
Asics Kayano 19 on sale for €75

Seems to be limited sizes left but the staff are helpful enough and willing to ring around the stores for you if you ask them.
