They are using the "omelette" challenge chart on Saturday Kitchen there!...Is there any other shows they are not going to rip off?

It looks like they bought the set of Skinner and Baddiel's Fantasy Football League. I keep expecting to see Statto in the corner in his pyjamas.

Must be great to be on live TV drinking beer :)

I know I'll be killed... But a nordie sucks the buzz from a room.

    Derval.... I would.

I love Oisin as a GAA analyist on the wireless, but dear God, listening/watching him live can be like watching paint dry sometimes. Think that they should have gotten someone just a tad livelier for their first show. Saddlier is grand, he has a certain energy about him.... not so sure about the other two.

Seriously the most random set I've ever seen........they are only short of the Sacred Heart picture with the lamp..........

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

RTE should bring back Blackboard Jungle for the craic. Maybe with celebrities playing with their old schoolmates on their team. Using the original rounds and questions from the original shows.

Free beer for audience members... or clever subtle advertising.

He's probably thinking: "please be better than Guardian Football Weekly"!!!

Think that the guests should have some relevance to what is going in in Irish sport right now. This very week. A soccer lad is fine, given what we just watched, a GAA lad is fine given the AI final is 10 days away, but surely they would be better served by having some one on to talk hurling, or rugby seeing as the new season is about to kick off? No offense to Dervla, but who really cares about athletics right now, compared to other sports?

He tended to bring the Pod crashing back down from near earth orbit all right. His NT radio commentaries were abysmal as well.

I always find it hard to know if he is being sincere or taking the piss. Although he sounded genuine.
