Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi. I am currently renovating and extending a 30+ year old bungalow and am installing Airtightness membrane, good standard insulating and 3glaze windows with mvhr system.
I am looking at a hearing system with ufh like an air to water heat pump as my budget will not allow me to go ground source and the ground is not best suited.
Any advice on which air to water pumps are good or best would be much appreciated. I have followed here for some time but only just joined

Most of the guys I've prices have specified a 9kw unit. Some tell me they need to install a 12 and say it because when the temp drops I will need it but most genuine quotes are for 9kw unit
    Based in South west donegal

9 or 12 is the unit output.
My question was whats the calculated heat load or requirement.

Is the HP FOR UFH only or what else.

Will make some enquiries if u give me floor area of ufh

Thanks and sorry but I'm learning this as I go along. The floor space will be approx 145m2 and also will Need to run the dhw. As house is over 30 yr old and I am doing extension I don't need to have a Ber done so I don't have the correct figures. It is only a bungalow and attic insulation to be 400mm cellulose with 50mm insulation on inside of all external walls. 100mm floor insulation and ufh. And pumping existing cavities also . Hope this helps. Thanks
