Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gas oil in a kero boiler

    I have a firebird 90 (I think)
It's a condensing kero boiler, serviced regularly.

I will soon have access to some free gas oil from a family member who is switching to a condensing (kero) boiler.

Is it safe to add gas oil to my oil tank, I was thinking of adding 40L gas oil to every 700/800L kero

    Any thoughts ?

In a word, no. Condensing boilers are not designed to run on gasoil

If I had it and it was clean, I would make use of it. But like the rest of you, I would not advise a customer to use it under the circumstances described.

The advice here is no. You could ask the the opinion of the person who regularly services your boiler.
