Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If your off work on IB then No you are not entitled to it because RA is a long process in order to obtain and when on IB it is assumed you will get better however long it takes and return to work at some stage, if however you are on JSB or JSA and got sick and are now on IB then you may be entitled to RA but there is certain criteria that you have to meet

google Rent allowance and you will see the link

This is the information on Rent Supplement:
    http://www.welfare.ie/EN/Schemes/SupplementaryWelfareAllowance/Pages/RentSupplement.aspx
There is nothing there or in the guidelines that state someone on Illness Benefit cannot receive Rent Supplement.
It is a means tested payment so any income above Social Welfare rates would be assessed.
