Hmm... Bought the Tower pressure cooker yesterday and cooked a smoked ham in it. The bottom of the cooker is pitted already. Cooking time 50 mins plus the liquid rested in it for an hour afterwards.

Now I'm wary of cooking anything that would require the liquid to reduce and it might absorb the taste of the metal. My parents had aluminium cookware when I was young and you could taste it off the stew, potatoes etc.

I didn't realise it was aluminium till I took it out of the box. That'll teach me to read the description more carefully.

Can't see the need for them now there's so many other ways to cook

Slow cooker would do the ham

Yeah, but I was suckered by the whole "faster cooking" thing.

I'm getting e-mails alerting me to new posts in the thread- however, if I go to the thread this is the last post that I see..........

On my laptop (Windows 10 using Chrome), every time I refresh the forum today, it shows a new post in the forum, but when I click into the thread, it is showing this as the last post. But when I check on my phone, I'm seeing 8 posts newer posts

Thread seems to be sorting itself (aside from logged out on Legacy, for me), but still not 100% correct. Might be worth a cache clear nonetheless.

We're not really sure what's caused it to happen, as it seems to be the only thread affected.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's down to posts regularly being moved from the main bargain thread to this thread for chat, making things a bit unstable. But that's just a guess .

    so anyway...

    Any bargains? :D:D

reserved that pressure cooker yesterday, thanks to op ;)
