Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am looking to move as there doesnt seem to be much subbing in my area. Was just wondering does anyone know of areas in Kildare or Dublin where they hear there is much work going and a shortage of teachers

A couple of schools around the Curragh have sent out texts on textasub recently.

Even in Dublin its slow. I live on the northside of Dublin, 25 schools within 3km of me, within reach of almost any school in the county within an hour. Following text a sub, visited about 30 schools in person, posted to at least another 30 or 40, and emailed other further away ones.

I've had 5 days teaching in about 3 weeks so I wouldn't move up banking on getting teaching work to pay the rent/bills etc. Now it may pick up (everyone says it does), but you'd wanna be getting cvs/contact details out to schools and maybe dropping in fairly asap

I'd say Dublin is oversubscribed, but other parts of Leinster would be a reasonable bet. I know last year that a crowd of NQTs based themselves in Laois and managed to get some work anyhow.
