Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In the same direction....Beach just before Ballycotton (Ballynamona) to shanagarry beach to Garryvoe beach and keep on running east towards Ballymacoda beach . An epic run..with Ballycotton lighthouse in constant view. Just be sure to take a look at the tide tables as its a much better run with the tide on the way out. Bing-map it and you can't go wrong !

Cork is a big county, with nearly 100km of coastline.....whereabouts in particular are you heading for?

Heading west, you have Garretstown & Garrylucas; Inchydoney, Long Strand, Owenahincha, plus a host of shorter beaches. More further west.

I will be staying in Carrigaline so anywhere near there I suppose, don't mind a drive though !

Garretstown & Garrylucas are probably the best so....Carrigaline to Kinsale and on to Garretstown, about 7 or 8 miles further on. Check tides before you go! Beaches are reasonably long, but you'll still have to do a fair number of laps to get the distance in.

Inchydoney, just 3 miles from Clonakilty, is the next nearest. If the tide is out you can may both beaches there in the one go, giving you about (guessing) 0.75-1 mile each way.
