Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I have a problem with sky+
I called sky and they said its out of warranty and i need an engineer to come out for £65 and they have nobody available until march!!!!

My problem is the EPG does not work.
It says "searching for listings..." on all channels.
This also causes timed recordings to fail and the pause button not to work.

This started a few days ago.
I tried everything i can think of.

Ive tried Full System Reset and Planner Rebuld in installer setup and also forced software update but that only fixes it for a few hours and then its back to searching for listings.

Does anyone know anywhere in dublin (repair shop?) i can take the sky+ box to get it repaired instead of having to wait 2 months for sky to come out?

Thanks Tony ill call them on Monday.

But from more reading on the internet it appears this problem is usually caused by a LNB problem :(
It was very windy here last week the signal kept dropping maybe the LNB got damaged somehow.
I guess i need the sky engineer to replace the LNB.

Have you tried the Golden Pages I had to get my dish moved to the roof and got a guy from there €70 i think, which I thought was very good as he put up a brand new dish as he said they get them for nothing anyway.

Possibly it is the lnb but it could also be the dish has borderline alignment, what does the signal test read?

If you are going to get an engineer may i recommend an independent as my fellow poster has suggested as this will be cheaper and quicker than getting sky out.
