Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The net is destroying my brain. Cannot concentrate for 2 minutes on the work I'm supposed to be doing without firing up a browser to check something out, then 15 mins later realising that I was trying to do something beforehand.

How do you tame your internet addiction and do some work apart from unplugged in the network connection?

The best way I've found is to reward yourself with some surfing time after every 15 mins of work. But it's hard to even manage that. Bloody internet! Feckin' boards.ie!

Here are some possibilities to kick the I-addiction:
    1. If at work, self-report yourself to your boss. He/she will pounce on you, or maybe even fire you and your problem at work will be solved.
    2. If at home with a better-half that hates porn, start leaving your screen on with porn displayed. That should be the start of a battle that may result in (s)he throwing the computer out the window. Problem solved.
    3. If you can come to OC in So Cal and visit the free WiFi hotspots that I visit, all you have to do is sit next to me and run one of those bandwidth hogging programmes that knocks me off the net, and I will be happy to grab your laptop and jump up and down on it. Once again, problem solved.:D
