Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The Mac Mini goes Intel.

From €659 (€619 with educational discount), its still a little pricey but at least its rather comparable with the old prices. Now I just have to decide whether to take the plunge, or wait it out for the second gen hardware to come out...

the hardware should be reliable enough

its the software you need to check as alot of software that isn't compiled for the MAC intel or isn't universal binary , that you may want to use will run as slow as 50% compared to the g4 g5

Now's certainly the best time to buy the Mini. The PowerPC software will run, just not as fast as it should (about 4 times slower apparently) but with the speed increase in the processor this should be about the same speed as the older Mini ran at.
