Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Planning for a trip to France. Looking to a driveaway awning to have some extra living and storage space once we set up.

Just have a short wheel based transit, elevating roof. Where should I be looking for these awnings?? I've had no luck so far..

    Any help would be great.

These guys are good fore research as they have the awnings split by size,

We bought a kampa travel pod 310 from norwich outdoor for a song very impressed with the quality of the materials and stitching and supply of spares. that model is probably too large for your van but theres a mini one too.

I think drive away awnings are great for extra space and as a store when you want to do some touring without loading everything back into the van.

We purchased a Royal Blenheim XL Ultra last year. We use it with a Mercedes Sprinter van conversion and put it up for any stay for more than one night. It is easy to put up and take down and stores in a handy size bag.

Thats what i was looking for, they are out of production now, but seem to be in stock on ddonagheys for €229. Not sure how well it will go with a low roof van though. And with the lifting roof you'd probably want awning rail.

One of the reasons went for the kampa in the end is the roof is white and silver and side are a light sandy colour which should be much cooler in the continental sun.

We had a swb transit too and used an earlier model of this awning http://www.khyam.co.uk/detail.asp?p=740

They are worth the extra few euro for the ease they go up with. The poles are integrated so you'll be set up in minutes.
