Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Junction presents............

    Friday 27th April
    The Cavern @ Radiocity
Frenchmans Lane Store St, Dublin 1 (opp Busarus)

    Jamie Behan (BastardoElectrico, ElectronicIreland)
    Mike McCoy [Live] (BastardoElectrico, ElectronicIreland)
    Dave Prior (Junction)
    Stam (Junction)

Junction is back with its third installment down at the Cavern. This time round we have the Electronic Ireland boyos in town for a battle on the ones and twos. In the red corner we have Jamie Behan and Mike McCoy who are no strangers to the club scene with there infamous night Schmutzig in Cork.. The lads are keeping busy with their Electronic Ireland website and also a label in the pipeworks for early September. In the blue corner we have Junction residents Dave Prior and Stam who will be showing the lads how its done up in the big smoke. Expect to hear the harder end of minimal and jackin techno.

    JAMIE BEHAN

Jamie Behan has been a regular fixture in techno clubs all over Ireland for the past five years where he has played alongside Djs such as Adam Beyer,Ben Sims and Billy Nasty. From his own Bastardo Electrico clubnights at the legendary Sir Henrys in Cork, residencies at some of Cork's best most forward thinking nights such as Bass,Hot House and The Encrypted Sessions to regular guests slots at Electric City, Musiklab, Viva, Electric Circus and numerous other clubs have made him a firm favourite with crowds the length and breadth of the country. The past two years have seen him venture further afield playing clubs in Brighton,London, and Barcelona. He is now the host of a monthly internet radio show for electronicireland.com, where he showcases his darkly funky take on techno and electro alongside guest mixes from guests such as Patrik Skoog,Dave the Drummer and Dustin Zahn. He can currently be found spinnig regularly at Viva in Limerick, Tekno Kommunity in Cork and Junction in Dublin while he is resident at Electronic Irelands new Schmutzig.

    Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy Live (Electronic Ireland, Bastardo Electrico Recordings) Mike McCoy's live set and non stop gigging for the past year has taken him to Electric City [Dublin], Bodyshock [Belfast], Viva [Limerick],Electric Circus [Waterford], The Vaults, [Dublin],Trinity Rooms, [Limerick], The Tikki [Cork] to name a few... His sets can be compared to British Murder Boys / / Surgeons and Speedy J's method of playing, not quite djing and not quite live but the grey area in between i.e taking loops and segments of tracks, applying fx, layering and rejoining to form new tracks and new arrangements mixed up with his own productions and loops, fusing all forms of techno and house. His recent set in the Tikki Lounge, Cork left the crowd in a sweaty heap... He is one of the few first-wave techno Djs / Acts from Limerick to be found still performing regularly and he was the First Dj in Limerick to embrace production and perform as a Liveact, playing (while underage in the mid 90s) at all the major clubs in the city at that time. His name was on the last bill at the legendary Theatre Royal in Limerick, which would be the city's equivalent to Sir Henry's in Cork for renowned atmosphere and fond reminiscence among electronic music lovers. In February 2006, he set up the popular e-zine www.electronicireland.com... and run it with partners in crime Jamie Behan and Desy Balmer. Since its birth, the site has had visitors from over 30 countries and is distributed online to over a 100 forums in different languages.. the site gets 10,000 unique visitors a month. He is currently involved in setting up the label "Bastardo Electrico Records" with Cork lads Jamie Behan and Glenn Keohane. Grab Mike's recent mix for the 2FM Saturday night dance Session's show here. www.electronicireland.com/mixes.asp
