Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I am going to study in the UK I need around 100000 EUR to do a 4 year course in Portsmouth University. How do loans from the credit union or a bank work.

    Will I need to be paying it off as I go through college or is it when I start working?

    Will I get a loan of that size?

    I know nothing about student loans and I would be happy if you could given me some extra information if I havnt asked it already. Thanks for your answers in advance.

    100,000 euro doesn't seem to me like it can be classed under 'student loan' in this side of the world, that's a mortgage!

    I know that Australia has a "HELP" system, higher education loan programme, whereby you borrow from the state to study, and once you're in full time employment you are deducted at source to pay back what you owe, I think I recall hearing something about a similar program in the UK. But 100k seems absolutely incredulous.

    Well 100k would be a total rather a full loam it would cost 12k eur on fees alone per year and 5000 for student acomm which leaves 3000 for cost of living and I MIGHT get a job which might give me an extra 60 quid a week so 20 grand a year ain't bad. It is a Master in Pharmacy BTW.
