    Today is John Jameson's Birthday, so I propose today be John Jameson day, and at 7pm we raise a glass of triple distilled goodness to honour the man's great work!!!!

    Its also the day the Dalai Lama won the Nobel Peace Prize for shunning violence and seeking liberation from China for his Himalayan nation through peaceful means.

    Interesting John Jameson fact:

    When the distillery moved, a lot of John Jameson's furniture was sold off to random people. A young woman from Cork bought his dining room table for 5 pounds(a hefty sum in those days), and it now stands in a dining room in Galway. I ate my breakfast off it every morning for about 20 years.
