    From e-mail I just received:

    DrDish@TV on May 12, 2004 at 17.00 Uhr GMT

Here we are again. A new live show of DrDish@TV comes on May 12, 2004 at
    17.00h GMT via INTELSAT 707 (11.596, horizontal, 6.110 Ms./sec., FEC: 3/4).
Some wanted to know more: the uplink-frequency is 14.396, vertikal and we
are using a bandwith of 9.0 MHz). Uplink and studio are in Bonn, Germnay
(via TVS Teleport). The worldwide repeat via five satellites of DrDish@TV
comes about 10 days later. Please check for the latest data www.drdish.tv.
Some wanted to know if TELE-satellite International or DrDish@TV are on
the Anga Satellite Show in Cologne, Germany. No, we are not. But since
Cologne is around the corner and we did already the long way from Munich to
Bonn, we will be at the show on May 13. Distributors or Manufacturer with
interesting products or just a DXer with a good idea are welcome in the
live show of DrDish@TV. But please, do not rush in, but give us a call
    before: +49-(0)172 89 09 849.

After we pushed the sale of TOPFIELD in the last show (and did not get even
payed for this), this time we will have a more quite evening.

Antenna expert Lagerwij from Vertex with another technical reading

Kaon KVR 1000, a super multimedia terminal with satellite receiver, mobile
HDD and remote control of the receiver and external camera via the Internet.

PANSAT 2500A, another blind scan receiver

    Platinum SF-10, 0.3 dB LNB

The new TELE-satellite International with a printed worlwide satellite
frequency-list (over 16.000 entries) and 11 test reports (all new receiver,
    LNB´s, antennas, DiSEqC-motors etc.)

And we will some more ideas over the weekend...

Technical questions via Internet (show@drdish.tv) are answered during the
show. If you missed Drdish@TV, you may buy a DVD via www.dxandy.de.

The name DrDish@TV is protected by copyright and is sponsered by
TELE-satellite International the worldwide satcom-magazine in 11 languages,
TVS-Teleport Bonn/Berlin, Germany, RRSat and TELENOR.

    Have fun

Smeagol, is it true that this program is repeated on Hotbird a few days later.
The website lists a hotbird frequency.
Any information you could give would be helpful?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,393 ✭✭✭Eurorunner

I tried to tune in to the hotbird frequency listed but got no signal ...which means that it is only for 'feed' purposes and there isnt always a signal to pickup ..OR..i'm not going to be able to pick it up:(

Someone on another board just informed me that the repeat should be on HotBird in 10 days time. But Christian (Dr.Dish) will anounce the exact date on the show tonight, so I will keep you informed.

Just to let you know smeagol i saw this show today and it was worth the wait.
It was very good and really was entertaining.

I loved the reviews and interviews and will watch it again next month.
BTW, were you or anyone on here one of the three people mentioned by Dr. Dish who emailed him from Ireland from Wicklow, Dublin and Cork?.

Can anyone tell me the channel name?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 510 ✭✭✭TVDX

The channel i think is labeled RR Sat.

In any case the channel used also shows a vietnamese channel called VTV4 and a Somali channel called STN, all other times it is showing the RR sat promo, so if you get any of those your on the right channel.

I found it in the end and it was well worth it. Highly enjoyable show. I even got me newsagent to order me in Tele-Sat Intl!

  • Registered Users Posts: 301 ✭✭Smeagol

No, this time I didn't mail any reports, have done that several times before for various setups. I'm in the northwest anyways.

Thanks very much for all the comments. But one correction: the DrDish-Team does not work anymore for the above magazine! Incompetent leadership (at last that´s our opinion) ended the 12 years of work for that magazine. Now we are concentrating on DrDish@Tv and a new magazine project which is due in March 2006.

Dr. Dish himself on this very forum, fantastic.
Maybe you could give the Irish boards.ie satellite forum a mention on the next show.

I tried to watch this months program a few days ago and I tuned in the frequency of 12.207 on Hotbird .
Last time I viewed the program on that satellite it was sharing with VTV 4 and STN.

Is this still the case now?, as there was no obvious signs like an RR sat promo on that channel this time?.
Which channel on that frequency is it on?.
VT4 was showing a test card at the time of the last program and assuming I was on the wrong channel I switched off and didn't get to see the program.

It goes out live on 1 West, and is later rebroadcast on Hotbird 13E. No times for rebroadcasts have been released yet AFAIK.

A big welcome to the board Dr. Dish. As a relative newcomer to the motorised scene, I find Dr. Dish TV very informative.
