Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rent Allowance Cut

    Hi everyone,

    I received my weekly payment of rent allowance in the post office today, but the rate seems to have been cut without any direct contact in the form of a letter, phone call etc.

    I'm just wondering has anybody had their payment cut, as this seems strange given I haven't received any official contact regarding a lowering of rates?

    looks like it came into effect on the last budget was it cut much?

    We have to contribute a minimum of 30 per week instead of 24 from now on, so there was a cut.

    don't expect any letters, our rent supplement was canceled for some reasons and i notice that only after month(i receive my monthly) when i didn't received it.
    when i called them up they said - oh yeah it was cancelled a 25 days ago!
    so there you go :)

    Did any other payments come in on 30th? Did I miss my JS payment?

    I get my rent allowance posted monthly and it normally comes in the last few days of the month, I didnt get December's which I was expecting to be delayed on account of Christmas however it still hasnt arrived, has anyone else who gets theirs posted received it yet? Thanks
