Do you pay child maintenace on dole?

I know this is a very personal question so understand if no one wants to answer it, but a friend of mine who has 3 kids under 6 was awarded €30 per week maintenance becuase her ex is on the dole. Now I know the dole is not a lot to live on but surely €10 per child per week is a really low amount.

I said I would ask on here to see if anyone who is either paying or receiving maintenance from someone on the dole would be willing to give me an idea if their payment is that low. There is no point in her going back in front of a judge if its an average payment.

My sisters ex is paying 25 per week for one child. He is on job seekers allowance. Hope that helps.

Thanks for that so maybe she should go and see about having it adjusted €30 a week for 3 small kids is madness

A friend of mine is paying 35 euro a week and he's on Job Seekers aswell.
She originally wanted 60euro but Judge said that was not reasonable as he was only getting x amount a week so hes now paying 35euro.

He has only one child
