RTÉ And The SPL

    why is the picture quality so poor. it was a pleasure having the option of watching it on BBC this afternoon. but the BBC only cover the Old Firm derbys. RTÉ's pictures are woeful :mad:

    RTE bought the rights to all Celtic SPL games from Setanta Sports.
    So I would guess that RTE have no control over the pictures. BBC probably had their own cameras yesterday,

    I saw a few mins (no more honest!)
    and the RTE pic was very washed out with a sort of light "fringing" effect.
    Looked like something you see from
    the 70s when waching live sport from
    South America.

    i thought they would have payed the SPL for the rights. don't Setanta use the pictures from BBC Scotland anyway except for the few extra games that will be shown only on Setanta.
