    Hey

    First congrats on your weightloss

I lost 4 stone 6 years ago and although my stomach was ok as I'd excercised throughout my weightloss I found my breasts quite saggy.

I had a consulation with my GP who refferred me to a plastic surgoen who performed a Breast uplift on me - changed my life and have never looked back.

Completely paid for by the health board as they believed the saggynessof my chest was affecting mood and making me depressed!

    Good luck
    x

From the million makeover shows I've watched I'd say a tummy tuck is the only thing to remove the saggy skin. Excersize can't do that. I dunno how much one would cost but it'd be alot!!

    Well done on the weightloss!:)

I think you should check this option. I know it must be a real pain to lose a ton of weight and then be stuck with loose skin but you can get rid of it.

Where's your doctor was this based in ireland ?? I myself lost 4 & half stone and my tummy is just so bloody saggy ! It costs anything from 6 to 8 grand for a tummy tuck and i have not go kind of money! and exercise won't do anything for saggy skin !

    Hi,

Yes I just went to my regular local GP in South Dublin, I was really honest and said I was feeling down about it.

He refferred me to breas specialist in South Dublin who ultimatley decided whether surgery was needed and if the health board should fincance it.

If it really is making you depressed I really recommend it, talk to your own doctor about it and see what options are available! :D

From what I've read, exercise isn't going to shrink the skin the way it burns fat. You could try firming cream but that will obviously only go so far. It seems cosmetic surgery is the only option - why not investigate it.

And congrats on your weight loss - that is remarkable. Don't punish yourself for the loose skin when you've achieved something like that.

Congratulations on losing the weight!! U should be very proud of yourself!

Try some toning exercises combined with a firming cream. I am using bio-oil at the minute and it's working really well. Also Clarins are meant to do a good one. If you're still not seeing any progress, consult your GP. A tummy tuck will give you the washboard stomach alright, but that's major surgery, and seeing you've lost a lot of weight, there might be skin elsewhere that would need nipped and tucked. Aside from the financial side of things, that is a lot to be putting your body through.

Congratulations on the weight loss. That is a huge achievement...

My friend got a tummy tuck and breast lift done about two years ago. It cost her €10,000. It is serious surgery and included lyposuction on the hips. She had to take two weeks off work and had to lie flat on her back for two weeks.

The reason she got the tummy tuck was to remove the skin after childbirth, she was young having her child and was never happy with her tummy after it. 10 years after the birth of her child she decided to get it done. She is delighted with the job done.

Anyhow the operation consist of streching your skin down and they make you a new belly button.

Best of luck with what ever you decide to do.

Exercise will not get rid of the excess skin and surgery is really your only option. If it is limited to the abdominal you could wear a corset, which I do. It also has the benefit of improving your posture and making it impossible to eat too much!

    Congratulations on your weight loss1
