I attempted to build a PC for the first time recently and it wouldn't start properly, it just started and stopped in intervals of a few seconds when i turned the power supply on. I made sure i was static free so i don't think that's the issue, but the 24 pin connector was very difficult to get in fully.

These are the specs of the PC. Are they compatible with each other?

    CPU- AMD athlon X4 760k

    MOTHERBOARD- MSI-A78M-E35

    GPU-Sapphire radeon r7 260x

    PSU- Corsair CX430M

    RAM- corsair vengeance 8GB DDR3

I'm pretty sure they are compatible but i want to find out the issue. Thanks

Yes but its still not working. It wont come on at all now. Im not sure if I damaged the motherboard or if its a faulty part.

Don't panic. Take a break from it for today. While you are taking a break look at youtube build vids you might see something you missed or didn't seat proper.

    Where are ye based?

Is there a (heatsink) fan on top of your CPU, and is that fan plugged in?

yes I was confindent in installing the CPU and everything looks like it's plugged into the right places. Do you think I should get it checked by somebody?

This. Put a link up, but put a space between the dot and the com

So instead of pix.com/picture.jpg you write pix. com/picture.jpg
