Sounds good to me. There are a lot of cancelled shows where I'd have loved a final 6 episode season.

Also with Nikita each season had so much happen that it seemed to compress 3 or 4 season arcs into 1 season. So basically this is the equivalent of a full season minus filler episodes like other shows would have

6 episodes is very short, 12 or 13 would be better for the final season

Good start to the last season. Hope it can keep it up now and go out with a bang.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,534 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

That was a great first episode.

I would have liked a little "Previously On..." segment at the start.
I know the pres shot herself, but I can't remember any of the details around it.

Absolutely brilliant season opener, it's bittersweet it's ending but I'm glad it's going out with a bang. Fingers crossed Percy makes an appearance!

Ye I was a bit hazy on what happened in the finale last year, was it not a double though? If I remember the president is still alive and being held captive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,534 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

See? I completely forgot that. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,788 ✭✭✭tvnutz

Good episode again, will be interesting to see how they tie this up within 4 episodes! I assume saving the real President will be the key to clearing Nikita's name. Knowing this show though it won't be that simple.

I loved the camera assassination but was confused by the end...what was that about? Who was the NSA lad? How is Birkoff involved? Is he supposed to look like him or be a double or something? Didn't get what that was about.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,534 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

My guess is a relative maybe? Do we know who Birkoff's father is?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭expectationlost

the plane, who do they think they are shield?

stop calling her Nikita Mears sound so unglamorous

    berkoff was needled wasn't he

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,286 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Was the NSA guy Judd Nelson? Maybe Birchoff is a big Breakfast Club fan and didn't want to get him in trouble.

That's who I thought it looked like alright.

Another great epsoide they really are keeping the level up with only 2 more to go. I just hope they haven't left to much to fit into the last two..

Also a nice little nod to La Femme Nikita at the beginning as well.

    I think there's still 3 left?

Not as good as the other episodes this season, but the quality has been so high it's hard to complain. Amanda really is one of the best tv villains I've ever seen.

You are right I thought they were going to go out with a double episode leaving only 2 weeks. But they are going out with 3 singles.

Ah that was great! It actually played out like a season finale...... until the LAST 3 MINUTES!!

    DUN DUNNNN DUNNNNNNNNNNNN!!! :D

I dont under stand the end?....is michael a double?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭expectationlost

    knew that was too easy

Nikita: the only show where launching a missile at the building you're in is considered easy. :) Which oddly makes your father proud

Gonna miss this show. Felt like a finale and if I didn't know there were still 2 episodes left I would've believed it to be until that last few mins.

So will Sam betray Alex? The look on his face was that of someone who was proud to be trusted with such a responsibility.
Though at the same time when he was telling her he wasn't Owen reminded me of Chris the crafty cockney

No, Division think that it's all over and that they've won - Amanda is dead, and MDK is rubble. It'll be fun to see how the next part plays out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,886 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I really enjoyed that and would have been happy with that ending. Then came "Amanda" as only see can :)

Melinda Clarke really is amazing in the role.

Poor Ryan :( Very good episode again, 2 hour finale is it? The final battle, should be good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,286 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

And that's how you do a season finale setting up for an excellent next seas... oh wait.... Dagnamit!

Even when it's not a shortened season I've always said Nikita fits more into 6 episodes than most series fit in a season. Excellent setup for the finale with Nikita and Alex together again.

Only thing I was wondering was why didn't Ryan (:() shoot Amanda when she was down?

can it really be final battle?

So will all the remaining characters make it out alive? I think if one of Nikita or Alex died, it would be Nikita.

I'm glad they've no plans to make a movie. These days too many series end and say they'll continue in a movie until those plans fall through. So this way we know we'll get a proper ending.

Besides, doesn't Alex still need to find out how her dad met her mother? :)
(I've only ever watched the first episode of that series)

I would expect a few more deaths to come, i would NOt be surprised to see Amanda live.......!!!

I expect most of the cast to be dead, imo.

Yeah that's the other thing about this being a definite ending - anything can happen. No one's safe. We know there are no movie plans to set up for or a spin off series

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,886 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The last line Nikita spoke summed up who she is really and what the show was all about.

I really enjoyed this version of Nikita. (I'm sure it will be remade again within the next 10 years)

    Also I loved Amanda's scar.

Good ending, satisfactory ending! I was actually kind of annoyed half way through that they seemed to be destroying Nikita's character, it was cool her supposedly taking out all the group leaders but it was against the character they had built up, so I thought it was very clever how they turned the tables on Amanda like that. They did well in 6 episodes to finish it off and despite only having 6 eps, at least it got an ending. I can't stand when a show I have watched for years is just cancelled with no conclusion.

Just watched the final two episodes, tbh i thought Bubble was the stronger episode....i thought the finale was a bit too wishy-washy with that happy ending.

As suspected Amanda lived, but it would have been more satisfying f Nikita had an epic fight with Amanda and killed her.....but i guess they wanted to show how much Nikita had chamged from being a monster.

I expected more deaths and carnage, i noticed Graig Silverstein dint even write the finale....unusual for a showrunner and creator not to writw a series finale?
Dunno...was a bit too Disney for my taste for such a gritty show

Okay, I'll admit it after watching that finale
They got me. Didn't see the twist coming

Quite happy with the finale. Sad to see it go.

When the door was closing at the end, I was half expecting her to say "Game Over"

Sad to see Ryan die and good to see Amanda get beat in her preferred method of manipulation and deception but I too wanted a fight between her and Nikki

Will there be a spin off with Alex and Sam/Owen?

Decent ending (great blindside), but Amanda's comeuppance wasn't very satisfying. Monologue at the end was a bit cheesy too.

Nitpicking, really enjoyed it overall. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 303 ✭✭Rob30888

Pretty satisfying ending even if the blind-side was a a bit too over the top. I wish the episode had been more of a confrontation between Amanda & Nikita, surely everyone wanted a huge showdown between them for the series finale?

I thought the ending mimicked alias slightly in that the main couple ended up on a beach somewhere. I was disappointed that Amanda didn't get killed off, since so many villains in this show have escaped imprisonment.

I am months behind everyone watching this show but only finished it tonight on Sky Living. What a great end to a great show, I was really dissappointed to hear it had being cancelled but glad it got a mini final season to wrap things up. It was jam packed with action from the get go.

I didn't object to the happy ending, I think the characters deserved it after all they had being through. I loved all the twist and turns in this season. I really thought Amanda was killed off when the missle landed in Dubai and was dissappointed with that but was more than happy to see it was her double. When the show started I just thought she was the lady who dressed and groomed all the agents, she has come along way from that. She must rank as one the great baddies.

I was conviced that Nikita had gone back to the bad side but thankfully not, it would have been a terrible end, that was a great twist that I never seen coming.

I would have liked them to visit Seans family and tell him what happened to him, I always felt he got treated badly in the show. Was a bit odd that Sonya didn't get an appearance, just a reference to Berkoff/Lionel going to London, maybe she had moved to Sleepy Hollow at that point?
