Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Okay film fans i want the best twist in a film, something that completely knocked you flat. Now I know i'm gonna get The Usual Suspects about 100 times so i want some variety. Twists in a film are damn hard to do these days but my own personal fave is the Jack/Tyler revelation in the magnificent Fight Club.

    Now lets hear yours.........:D

    Luke...I am your father
Aaaahhhh:D. I not sure whether I needed a spoiler on that one. Not the best twist either but good in its day

Even though it's quite recent, I think the Matrix Reloaded twist of sorts where
The Architect explains that this is the sixth iteration of the matrix
is quite good as it turns all our previous beliefs upside-down.
That said, I still think Fight CLub's twist is best.
    :)

Yep Usual Suspects and Fight Club have excellent twists and to that I'd add Arlington Road which has a good twist in the end as well.

    Gandalf.

    The Sixth Sense
    He's been dead all along
. That one caught me by surprise even with all the now blatant clues throught the film.

    Shawshank
where the governor has Andy's Witness Executed

    Dog Day Afternoon
If you have seen the movie you will know

Pulp Fiction the kitchen scene, shame the producers insisted the main billing travolta should be alive at the end of the film ,****ing hollywood audience testing.

I love the way the "twist" in Vertigo is revealed a full half hour before the film's end. It really makes Jimmy Stewart going nuts in the last half hour all the more disturbing.

    Unbreakable:
He's has superhero 'powers' and the scene where he emerges from the swimming pool draped in his cape with the two kids looking at him as if he's superman

    Natural Born Killers:
    the final 'witness'

    The Devils Advocate:
the climatic scene at the end where Pacino reveals himself

    American History X:
Furlong's death at the end - wasn't expecting him to be the one to get killed

Janet Lieghs death twenty minutes into psycho was a bit of a twist,Up to that point it seemed Hitchcock was setting her up as the central character (i.e the audience was seduced into viewing this as essentially the Survivour's tale).Classic film making genius.

    Jack Nicholsons
    failing to buck the system
in One Flew over the Cookoos nest ,Jack seems to be able to pick intresting tales,Prizzis Honor and Chinatown both spring to mind.

East is East has some interesting plot developments/twists

Serpico has a good twist too.

    Has to be Fight Club

    Usual Suspects and prob

The matrix but most of the twists will prob be in the third film.

Identity (John Cusack and Ray Liotta, 2003) has a gr8 twist at the end of it. Best Twist in the last few years since Fight Club and Usual Suspects.
I would not ruin the Film by putting the twist here as most of you have not see the film yet.
