Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

basically need to get a new radio for a tractor. need something which which has its own memory to store stations etc as the tractor has an isolation switch and will kill all the power from the battery. do any radios store the stations themselves without need for power from the battery?

Can you not just wire an extra wire to the radio straight from the battery?

I could if I really had to but if there were radios available which remember the stations that would be easier

Any live feed from the battery to the specified wire coming from the rear of the radio will drain very little power from the battery, it won't drain it any noticeable amount just consult the user manual or do a google search for which wire is the live to the radio, iirc it is red to yellow or vice versa

You could just use an old analogue radio.

That would negate one of the reasons for having an isolation switch.
You could also just say leave the switch on.

Volkswagen Beta and Gamma radios definitely do (the ones with built in cassette players from early boras and mk4 golfs) do and can be found on ebay for around 50 euro.
