Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Copying and pasting files

For several years, I've occasionally backed up my mp3 collection onto CDs and latterly, onto DVDs. What I want to do now is to copy all the mp3s from them onto my computer's hard disk and just have one set.

Now, here's my problem. When I copy and paste the files from the discs to the folder on the computer, I get the old Confirm File Replace dialogue box. I'm wondering is there any way/any program that would make windows ignore the files that have an identical file name/size/date and just ask me if there's something different?

Edit: I'm running Windows XP by the way

XP right? I know vista has a checkbox on that dialog box that says "Do this for all xxxx conflicts." Dont know of a program that will apply the same to XP.

You could really just save yourself a lot of clicking by skipping over the albums you know havent changed since you backed up.

It's not albums I'm copying but mp3s. Lots and lots of them.
